Modifing human figure with SU workflow.

- Start with the basic mesh from Make Human. Delete as much as possibile unuseful geometry before starting. starting model (half model) was 2.51 Mb with 24923 faces.

- Apply a basic skin texture/color.

- Create intersection planes. Organize them as groups or components, erasing them will be much easier).

- Intersect planes with human model. For a better result scale 10x the model to avoid 1 squared mm. Sketchup bug.

- Paint result with pro per color/textures. Substitute head with a better low poly version. The head model has been downloaded from 3darchive.com.

- Erase unuseful faces/lines and redraw them to smoothly connect the new head ("Frankenstein" method).

- Smooth surface with the Erase Tool +CTRL

- Apply textures

- Create collar extruding and scaling half circle.

- Use Fredo6's "Tools on surface" plugin to draw collar design.

- Simplyfing boot: Create cutting planes to eliminate fingers.

- Simplify new geometry and apply a "extrude and scale" method to recreate front part of boot.

- Scarf was made generating a profile and scaling and rotating it in different ways.

- Connect all profiles using Fredo6's "Curviloft" plugin.

Final model: 2.23 Mb and 24950 Faces

3d model for Christmas holidays would be Gordian.
Gordian Warrior (闘士ゴーディアン) was aired first time in Japan in 1979 to 1981 (73 episodes).

The concept: "The pilot Daigo Otaki controls a small almost human-sized robot container named Protteser. Each time Protteser is in trouble, he jumps into the next biggest robot container named Delinger.
Then finally the largest container is Garbin." (Source: Wikipedia)

Two new models fron the TV Serie "Dinosaur War Izenborg (恐竜大戦争アイゼンボーグ), a Japanese television program produced by Tsuburaya Productions that aired from 1977 to 1978 on Tokyo 12 Channel.

It combined Tsuburaya's trademark suitmation tokusatsu techniques with Japanese Animation, so this program can be categorized anime or Daikaiju tokusatsu. The show runs for about 39 episodes.

Robonoid from the "Future boy Conan" anime (未来少年コナン, Mirai Shōnen Konan - 1978) produced by Nippon Animation and featured the likes of Hayao Miyazaki (director, character designs, storyboards), Isao Takahata (storyboards) and Yoshiyuki Tomino (storyboards).

The anime is an adaptation of Alexander Key's novel ""The Incredible Tide".

Still working on Grendizer cockpit.
This is a mixed model. Duke Fleed base model was created in MakeHuman, imported in poser for rigging (this operation has increased the filesize a lot), exported as OBJ adn imported in SU for final remodelling.
Upper part of the body is finished. Final leg is still to come.
At the moment filesize is more than 13 Mb.

Released in 1977, Force Commander was molded in a bright shiny white with red highlights and Baron Karza was all black with red highlights, as evil as it gets. They were a boxed item packed in a styrofoam tray. The magnetic ball/socket joints allowed the figure to have many points of articulation. He was also compatible with the 5mm peg system, and came with 2 white universal magnetic ball joints which helped with the magno interchangeability.

Magne Robo Gakeen (マグネロボ・ガ・キーン, Magunerobo Ga Kiin) is a Japanese anime television series that aired from 1976 to 1977 in Japan. There were 39 episodes. It is also referred to as "Magnerobo Ga-Keen", "'Gakeen Supermagnetron", "'Gakeen Magnetic Robot", "Robotman Gakeen", "Gakeen". Outside of Japan, several episodes were edited and cobbled together into a movie-length feature, and in this format it is also known as Magnos the Robot or Renegade Force.

First time I was 9 and it was made with 3 Lego© Bricks. I was very proud of this model.

Grendizer at "Sarno a fumetti" 2008

I was asked to donate a special artwork for the 2nd edition of the "Sarno a fumetti" Comic Convention, located in Sarno (Salerno - Italy) 17-19 October 2008.
The table has been accomplished entirely using 3D software Google Sketchup, exporting various views of the models.
The various shots were subsequently mounted and edited through the image editing software "The Gimp."
Sight of Sarno was made expressly for the show while Spazer and Goldrake are part of the project "Project://Grendizer Saga."

Omotchama (Yatterman 1977-79)

Character from the Yatterman Serie.
A robot built by Gan, it serves as the mascot of the Takada toy shop run by Gan's father. It is shaped like a large dice, and is known for its catchphrase "-da-koron" at the end of every sentence. Her voice introduces the next episode just before the end credits.

Yatterman (ヤッターマン )is a Japanese anime television series first aired from January 1, 1977 to January 27, 1979 totalling 108 episodes. It is the second show in the Time Bokan series by Tatsunoko Productions. It was preceded by Time Bokan and followed by Zenderman. A remake of Yatterman is currently airing on NTV and Yomiuri TV from January 2008, with the voices of the Dorombo gang from the original returning to reprise their roles. A live-action movie is also in production .

The Space Dragon is the winner of the war against the Black Horror Army. This mighty machine, introduced by Prof. Daimonji at the Houston Conference and completed on March 12 1971, after 11 years of work, is both a transport, for pilots and machines, and a combat fortress suited for the war against Darius’ Army.

Two propulsive systems grant the Space Dragon the ability to act in every environment on Earth and in outer space. As a transport, the Space Dragon carries the three parts of the Gaiking and the Skyler, the Nesser and the Buzzler. For fighting purposes, it relies on a powerful arsenal and its passive defense mechanisms. This spaceship satisfies all requirements of its crew: beyond personnel’s flats, there are also a kitchen, an operating-theatre, an archive, a projection room and a foundry too.
The most interaction with the machine happens in the control room, under the enormous main screen that overhangs all controls and indicators the navigator needs to steer the ship with the aid of the main computer, which is at the head of every mechanism inside the Space Dragon and provides Prof. Daimonji with a invaluable tool of analysis.
When not on a mission, the Space Dragon is kept in an artificial basin, located under the cape on which is the Omaezaki lighthouse: for emergency situations, a second basin is available inside an underwater cave near Okashima.
